The Maternal and Child Specialties Foundation is constituted on July 30, 2015 when a group of parents with premature babies and complications born in 2014 meets to socialize and educate about high risk pregnancies. The common denominator in the meetings was the lack of resources Guatemala has, they decided to do something about it, and that is where Fundaemi is born to create the first Pediatric hospital a specialized center with state-of-the-art technology and highly trained personnel to attend high-risk pregnancies and premature babies, of low weight or with complications.
